Who Is Gerber?
Established back in the year 1939 by Peter Gerber, this brand has become a legend just like its suggested. Through 80 years of involvement in producing knives and multi-tools, these guys has perfected their skills and by God, it shows in their latest creation., Centre-Drive.
The Test Of Legend
Took the tool on site and test for its power and put it through few tests to see how it fares. From the tests, we discovered this new multi-tool from Gerber may indeed can replace a few other tools should you don’t have them. You can see the proofs below.
This gets it name from its unique screwdriver blade shaped like blade shaft which aligned the point of the screwdriver with the centre of the handle. Meaning, your effort won’t wasted when you turn the screwdriver and the blade will stay firmly across it or in screw slot.
The screwdriver bit holder is magnetic meaning you can easily change the head bit and making it a one versatile screwdriver. So, no more hassle of carrying two or more different screwdrivers.
The engineering used to hide the pliers is simply cool and neat. The pliers are hidden snugly according to the body shape of this tool, and to pop this pliers out, it only requires simple one handed action. The pliers are extremely useful and strong, its tip teeth and long nose is brilliantly forged. It is strong enough to pick up almost anything yet gentle enough to make sure delicate item is not damage when it is picked up.
The Wire Strippers
Hidden away nicely at the base end of the pliers it has 3 sided, interchangeable different stripping sizes which are very effective. You simply grip it, turn it and that’s it.
The Knife Blade
The blade is 30% longer from the other multi-tool blade out there. Only requires a simple one thumb flick to pop out this huge knife blade from its hiding place. We tried using this knife few things like cables and plastic nub marks, well, it easily cut and sliced through it. Smoothly.
The Pry Bar
From the first look when it was popped out, it look all tiny and normal looking, but upon a closer inspection to it we saw tiny ribs on its side that is almost impossible to bend by normal human beings. Just because its small, doesn’t mean its not great. Because of its small size, it can get and reach to spaces that other larger pry bars couldn’t and it has exceptional pulling power stuff in its small size.
The Drive File
This 75mm file blade look like it doesn’t mean business, but through multiple use of it, you’ll discover how useful it can get. Plus, it has a very sharp teeth to it.
